The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a mainstay at All Saints’. For 3-year-olds to those in the sixth grade, it is a Montessori approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in the Bible and the liturgy of the church. It also adheres to the educational principals of Maria Montessori, whose philosophy was to teach children with an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits, and respect for a child’s intrinsic desire to learn. Each atrium – or classroom – is led by an adult catechist with a minimum of 90 hours of training.
